Final Merit List
- Selection is completed in 2 stages: Stage 1 is the qualifying Physical Eligibility & Physical Efficiency Test; Stage 2 is the objective-type offline written examination for candidates who qualify Stage 1
- Only candidates who pass the run are permitted to attempt Shot Put, Long Jump and High Jump; each standard must be met within a maximum of 3 attempts
- Candidates found unfit in Physical Eligibility or failing to meet PET standards will be declared disqualified from the selection
11. WRITTEN EXAMINATION SCHEME
- 100 marks, Objective Type Multiple Choice, duration 2 hours; questions based on the post’s educational qualification
- Minimum qualifying marks: 45% for Unreserved/EWS/OBC candidates; 35% for SC/ST candidates
- Each question carries 4 answer options; 1/4th mark negative marking for each wrong answer
- Marking more than one answer to a question is treated as a wrong answer and attracts the same negative marking
- No negative marking for questions not attempted
- OMR answer sheet is prepared in triplicate; candidates must submit the original and duplicate copies to the invigilator, and may retain the triplicate copy
- Use of whitener or erasing/cutting of options on the OMR sheet is prohibited and will attract negative marking
- An OMR sheet with an incorrect/missing roll number or booklet series will not be evaluated and the candidature will be automatically rejected
- Merit list is prepared based on marks obtained in the written examination; ties are resolved by age (older candidate ranked higher), then by English alphabetical order of name, then by preferential qualifications (Territorial Army/NCC)

- Candidates who are not domiciled residents of Uttarakhand State are not eligible for the benefit of reservation under any category

- Candidate must be an Indian citizen, or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling, or a person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, or East African countries (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania) with the intention of permanently settling in India, subject to an eligibility certificate from the State Government
