CSIR NGRI Technician Recruitment 2026 has been announced by the CSIR-National Geophysical Research Institute (CSIR-NGRI), Hyderabad, through Advertisement No. 01/2026 dated 05.09.2026 for filling up 21 vacancies of Technician (1) Group-II (1) posts. CSIR-NGRI is a premier R&D institute under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. The recruitment covers nine trades including Fitter, Plumber, Electrician, Computer / IT Assistant, Digital Photographer, Laboratory Assistant (Chemical Plant), Medical Lab Technician, Physiotherapy Technician, and Catering & Hospitality Assistant, with post codes T101 to T109. The essential qualification is SSC / 10th Standard or equivalent with Science subjects with minimum 55% marks along with ITI Certificate or National / State Trade Certificate in the relevant trade, or 2 years apprentice training, or 3 years of work experience in the relevant trade. The selected candidates will be placed in Pay Level-02 (Rs.19,900-63,200) of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix with gross monthly emoluments of approximately Rs.39,970. The upper age limit is 28 years and the minimum age is 18 years as on the last date, with age relaxation for SC, ST, OBC (NCL), PwBD, Ex-Servicemen and other categories as per Government of India rules. 7. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION
- SSC / 10th Standard or equivalent with Science subjects, with minimum 55% marks and ITI Certificate or National / State Trade Certificate in the relevant trade, OR
- SSC / 10th Standard or equivalent with Science subjects, with minimum 55% marks and 2 years full time experience as an apprentice trainee from a recognized institution in the relevant trade, OR
- SSC / 10th Standard or equivalent with Science subjects, with minimum 55% marks and 3 years of work experience in the relevant trade in a Ministry / Department / Organization / PSU / Autonomous Body under Government of India / State / UT.

Final Merit List
- Trade Test tests the candidate's practical knowledge as per job requirement.
- Candidates who qualify the Trade Test will be eligible for the Competitive Written Examination (CWE).
- CWE consists of THREE papers; Paper-II & Paper-III evaluated only for candidates securing minimum threshold marks in Paper-I.
- Final merit list prepared only on the basis of marks obtained in Paper-II and Paper-III.

10. HOW TO APPLY

- Register with a valid email address using "New Registration", then login and apply through the Online Application Portal.
- Candidates applying for more than one post code must submit separate online applications with separate SB Collect fee payment receipts.
- Upload latest passport size colour photograph (not selfie) with plain background, clearly visible signature and relevant certificates.
- After finalizing, update payment details and click 'Final Submit'. No change/correction allowed after submission.
- Keep a printout of the completed application form; check the website regularly for updates – no separate call letters will be mailed.

- Experience certificate(s) as per Annexure-XI format, NOC from employer for candidates working in Govt./PSU as regular employees.
- Ex-Servicemen: scanned copy of Discharge Certificate.
12. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
- Applicant must be a citizen of India; eligibility as on the last date of receipt of online application.
- Mere possession of prescribed qualification does not entitle candidates to be called for Trade Test / CWE; Screening Committee will adopt its own shortlisting criteria.
- Candidates should indicate their option for Hindi or English medium for the Trade Test / CWE; default is English and no change will be entertained later.
- OBC(NCL) certificate must be issued on/after 01.04.2026 but not later than the closing date; EWS Income & Asset Certificate must be based on FY 2025-26 and issued on/after 01.04.2026.
- No TA/DA for attending Trade Test / CWE / Document Verification.
- Posts carry All India Service Liability (AISL); selected candidates posted in CSIR-NGRI but transferable to any CSIR Lab/Institute/Unit in India.
- Canvassing in any form will be treated as disqualification. Any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of courts located in Hyderabad only.
