3. AGE LIMIT
- Candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st January, 2027.
- Candidate must have been born not earlier than 2nd January, 1997 and not later than 1st January, 2006.
- The upper age limit is relaxable up to 35 years for eligible Government servants covered under the prescribed departmental conditions.
- Upper age relaxation is available as prescribed for SC/ST, OBC, Defence Services personnel, Ex-servicemen, ECOs/SSCOs and PwBD candidates.
4. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
- Degree in Engineering from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other recognised institution.
- Passed Sections A and B of the Institution Examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India).
- Degree/diploma in Engineering from a foreign University/College/Institution under conditions recognised by the Government.
- Passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (India).
- Passed Associate Membership Examination Parts II and III/Sections A and B of the Aeronautical Society of India.
- Passed Graduate Membership Examination of the Institution of Electronics and Radio Engineers, London held after November, 1959.
- For specified Electronics posts, M.Sc. or equivalent qualifications in Wireless Communication Electronics, Radio Physics, Radio Engineering, Physics and Radio Communication, Electronics or Telecommunication are also prescribed.
5. APPLICATION FEE
- Application fee: ₹200/-.
- Payment can be made through net banking, Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card or UPI.
- Female candidates and candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD categories are exempted from payment of fee.
- No fee exemption is available to OBC/EWS candidates.
- Fee once paid will not be refunded or held in reserve for another examination or selection.

- Stage-I marks are counted for final merit for candidates qualifying for Stage-II.
- About six to seven times the approximate number of vacancies may be admitted to the Main/Stage-II Examination.
- About twice the number of vacancies may be summoned for the Personality Test/Interview.
- Personality Test/Interview carries 200 marks with no minimum qualifying marks.
- Final ranking is determined from Stage-I, Stage-II and Stage-III marks.

9. HOW TO APPLY
- Candidates are required to apply online through the Commission’s application portal.
- Complete Account Creation, generate Universal Registration Number (URN), fill the Common Application Form (CAF) and complete the Examination Specific Form.
- The online application can be submitted from 16.09.2026 to 06.10.2026 till 06:00 PM.
- Candidates should read the General Instructions, Profile/Module-wise Instructions and document-uploading instructions before filling the form.
- Candidates should keep their photograph, signature, Matriculation Certificate and valid Photo ID details ready.
- The photograph and signature files should be in JPG format and each should not exceed 300 KB and should not be less than 20 KB.
- Candidates are strongly advised to use Aadhaar Card as the ID document for verification and authentication.
10. DOCUMENTS REQUIRED
- Photograph and signature in the prescribed JPG format.
- Matriculation Certificate with candidate’s name, father’s name, mother’s name and date of birth.
- One Photo ID such as Aadhaar Card, Voter Card (EPIC), PAN Card, Passport, Driving Licence or another Photo ID issued by the State/Central Government.
- Prescribed certificates supporting SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen reservation or relaxation claims, wherever applicable.
- Candidates claiming EWS reservation must possess the prescribed Income & Asset Certificate based on FY 2025-2026 and issued on or after 01.04.2026 and by the closing date of application.
- OBC candidates must produce the prescribed OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) certificate based on FY 2025-2026, 2024-2025 and 2023-2024 and issued on or after 01.04.2026 and by the closing date of application.
11. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
- Applications cannot be withdrawn after submission.
- No correction, alteration or modification in the submitted Application Form is allowed.
- Candidates must use black ball pen for writing and marking answers in the OMR sheet.
- Mobile phones, smart watches, AI enabled glasses, Bluetooth devices, cameras and other prohibited communication/electronic devices are strictly banned in the examination venue.
- Entry to the examination venue closes 30 minutes before commencement of the examination in each session.
- Face authentication at the examination venue is mandatory.
- Candidates must carry the Photo ID used in the application for examination and Personality Test/Interview.

13. MEDICAL AND PHYSICAL STANDARDS
- Candidates finally recommended by the Commission are required to undergo medical examination as decided by the Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications.
- Candidates must be physically fit according to the prescribed physical standards for Engineering Services Examination, 2027.
- The findings of the Medical Board will be final and binding for allotment purposes.
14. IMPORTANT EXAMINATION INSTRUCTIONS
- Negative marking applies to objective type question papers.
- Candidates are not permitted to use calculators for objective type papers.
- Battery-operated non-programmable pocket calculators may be used for conventional type papers only.
- Conventional papers must be answered in English and the question paper will be set in English only.
- Representations regarding question papers and provisional answer keys may be submitted through the prescribed online portal within the specified five-day window.
- Candidates finally recommended are subject to medical examination and applicable physical standards.
