Eligibility
The eligibility conditions are as under.
Physical Education candidates need B.P.Ed. or B.P.E. instead of B.Ed.
- Graduation with minimum 50% marks or Post Graduation with minimum 45% marks in the concerned subject from a recognized University / Deemed University / Institution established by law in India.
- A valid certificate of the prescribed eligibility exam must be held by 30.06.2027. Subject-wise full details are in the Download Notification.
- Hindi: also Intermediate with Sanskrit or Uttar Madhyama of UP Sanskrit Shiksha Parishad.
- Social Science: graduation with any two of History, Geography, Political Science and Economics. Science: Physics & Chemistry. Biology: Zoology & Botany.
- Passed TET for upper primary level (Class 6 to 8) conducted by UP Government or Government of India.
- B.Ed. degree from an NCTE-recognized course (B.P.Ed. / B.P.E. for Physical Education).
Papers required
Candidates must keep these documents ready.
- Two self-attested copies of the online application form
- Graduation marksheets (all years) and degree
- Affidavit (Appendix 6), court-case affidavit, character certificates from last institution and two respectable persons
- Caste / EWS / Freedom Fighter dependent / Disability certificate (Appendix 1–5), NOC for in-service, Ex-serviceman discharge certificate
- High School & Intermediate marksheets and certificates
- B.Ed. / B.P.Ed. / B.P.E. marksheet and degree; TET certificate
- Bring two separate sets of self-attested copies along with all originals.

APPLICATION STEPS
- Apply Now only at ==www.upessc.up.gov.in==; One Time Registration (OTR) is mandatory.
- Fill the registration and application form in English only.
- Upload photo and signature in JPG/JPEG (10 KB – 100 KB) and documents in PDF (20 KB – 200 KB).
- Pay the fee online and complete the form by 23.11.2026; keep the fee receipt.
- Women candidates may choose either boys’ or girls’ schools – only one per subject.
- Keep three printouts of the submitted form; two are required at document verification.

- Applications of candidates above 62 years on 01 July 2026 shall be rejected.
THINGS TO KNOW
- Reservation benefits only for domicile of UP; vacancies may increase or decrease. No TA/DA.
- Category, sub-category, date of birth and gender cannot be changed after final submission.
- Exam district informed 10 days and exam centre 3 days before the exam via admit card.
- PwD candidates get a scribe and 20 minutes extra per hour.
- Male candidates are not eligible for girls’ institutions (except a blind candidate for Music).
- Only one application per subject and category is valid; the last submitted one will be accepted.
Note: The decision of the Commission regarding eligibility of candidates shall be final.
