Applications are invited from eligible candidates to fill vacant posts of Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDSs) i.e. Branch Postmaster (BPM)/Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM)/Dak Sevaks in various offices of the Department of Posts across India.

5. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
- Secondary School Examination (SSE)/10th standard pass certificate with passing marks in Mathematics and English from a recognized Board
- Must have studied the prescribed local language (per Annexure-III) at least up to 10th standard
- Candidates with an equivalent qualification from any other board are not eligible
6. OTHER ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS
- Knowledge of computers
- Knowledge of cycling
- Should have adequate means of livelihood besides the TRCA/allowances
- Should not be holding any elective office
- Should not have been dismissed/removed/compulsorily retired from Govt./GDS service

- Complete One-Time Registration (OTR) on the GDS Online Engagement Portal with a valid mobile number and email ID
- Log in with the Registration Number/password and fill personal, educational and local-language details
- Select Division and give post preferences
- Upload recent photograph (JPG, 30-100 KB) and signature (JPG, 20-100 KB) as prescribed
- Preview the application, pay the applicable fee online (if not exempted), and submit
11. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
- Only one registration is permitted per candidate; multiple/duplicate applications are strictly prohibited
- Applications must be submitted ONLINE ONLY at indiapost.gov.in/gdsonlineengagement
- The Department reserves the right to modify/cancel the notification or revise the number of posts at any time
- The engagement process will remain open until 31.12.2026, subject to extension at the Department’s discretion
